BLACKDOG STUDIOS ANNOUNCES
FIFTH ANNUAL JAZZFEST
IN-STUDIO CONCERT SERIES
AND OPEN HOUSE
JUN 24th THRU JUL 2nd
ROCHESTER, NY: Blackdog Recording Studios, in association with Riot City Productions, will be hosting its fifth annual in-studio concert series and open house, which takes place during the Rochester International Jazz Festival, from June 24th through July 2nd. It will feature over 30 live intimate in-studio performances. The concert series will be recorded in the studio’s newly renovated control room through its brand new 32-channel fully automated API 1608 mixing board. Additionally Blackdog will capture multi-angle hi-def video footage of all of the performances.
The Blackdog and the Riot City staff will be keeping the studio’s doors open for the entire duration of Jazzfest. Conveniently located in the heart of the festival, concertgoers strolling between other shows are all welcome to stop into Blackdog’s comfortable (yet spacious) main performance room, where audiences and musicians alike can focus on music in an elegantly lit listening environment.
As usual, Blackdog is proud to present a fine assortment of local Rochester and Eastman School talent (For complete schedule, see Blackdog website.) The in-studio performances are free and open to the public. (Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Artists interested in performing as part of the series are encouraged to apply by submitting a video link (youtube, vimeo, etc.) of a live performance or rehearsal to: email@example.com. Submission deadline is Friday, June 10th 2016.
There is no fee to perform, but all performers will be offered the option to purchase the multi-track audio and video that will be captured for each show.
Rochester comes alive during the 9 days of Jazz Fest and for the past 4 years we have enjoyed sharing the studio with our vibrant music community.
We invite you to come down to the studio and spend some time with us. Blackdog is located on Swan Street, at the side entrance of the Rochester Club building just a few paces from Bernunzio’s on East Avenue and at the end of the covered walkway that runs between Gibbs and Swan Streets.
The studio is located on the lower level. (Map)
