An opportunity to take a course and study in a real studio environment 

At Blackdog Recording Studios, Robert offers a one-on-one 21 hour course in music recording, production, and sound engineering. This private class will teach you everything you need to know to begin to pursue your audio engineering ambitions.

Our Class is based on the Modern Recording Techniques textbook by David Miles Huber and Robert E. Runstein and consists of 21 classes as follows:

Private Music Instruction

We also offer private instruction for digital recording, music production, guitar, bass, piano and voice. Lesson Fees - (no group)
30 minute lessons: $60.00 per lesson
60 minute lessons: $100.00 per lesson.


Payment Policy


All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. The due dates for each term are listed below. Please make checks payable to your private teacher. Absenteeism
  1. Students will be excused from lessons without charge only when 48 hours notice is provided.
  2. If proper notice is given, one lesson, and only one lesson per 10 weeks will be rescheduled.
  3. Failure to give ample notice, or missing more than one lesson per 10 weeks will result in a charge for the missed lesson(s). Please do not assume teachers can offer unlimited make-up lessons. The teachers will do their best to keep consistent schedules, but time and space will not, in most cases, allow for multiple make-up lessons.
  4. Snow days will be honored when area schools have been closed.
  5. Students may be excused from lessons during national and religious holidays.

Blackdog Depositions follows a rigid, court-tested workflow: Pre-session calibration of audio, video, and time-stamp systems. Dual-path recording (primary 4K + redundant HD) with live monitoring.

Immediate SHA-256 hashing of raw files to lock chain-of-custody.
​Encrypted upload to our Tier-III data center within 2 hours. Synchronized transcripts and exhibits delivered via secure portal. Ten-year mirrored retention across geographically separate vaults, with quarterly checksum audits. This declaration may be cited in affidavits or expert reports to establish evidentiary integrity.

4 · 10-Year Archival Guarantee 
Archival Assurance: All deposition masters and synchronized deliverables are stored in AES-256-encrypted, geographically redundant servers for a minimum of 10 years at no additional cost.

Retrieval requests are fulfilled within 24 hours.
