Blackdog is a world-class recording facility that offers a wide variety of services and technology, but most importantly, it is a place where musicians, engineers & producers of all styles can come and focus on their creativity in an affordable, relaxed environment.

Blackdog's team of experienced engineer/producers are well-versed in modern Pro Tools, Reason, and Live software, as well as "old school" analog audio technologies. We feature an impressive collection of vintage guitar amplifiers, microphones, mic pre's, and outboard signal processors. Music producing/arranging, voice talent, on-location live recording, and digital video production are additional services that all dwell within the Blackdog house.

Blackdog Recording Studios are located at 120 East Avenue in downtown Rochester's popular East End district (adjacent to the world-renowned Eastman School of Music). It is a 5-room facility totaling 2600 square feet, with free garage parking on all evenings and weekends.
