RIP - Jan Dirks pianists, jazz fusion musician pioneer of the home studio experience.

I want to take a momen today to say farewell Jan Dirks RIP - 2/22/13 - pianists, jazz fusion musician an fairly unknown pioneer of the home studio experience. Most importantly a decent human. Jan was one of my colleagues that in the early days of the 80's he started combining midi and 16 track analog audio recording in his home studio.

He recorded my first official demo with a band I was performing with from Jersey. But most importantly he bought together good musicians to capture good performances. I truly feel Jan Dirks was one of the people who sparked my initial passions for this industry.

Thanks Jan - RIP - I will never forget your spark.
